baileydog.com My apologies, but Baileydog.com is not currently accessable to the public. If you think there is something on there that you’d like to see/read, contact me. In case you’re wondering, Bailey was my dog. In the early days of GXS (my tech company), I wanted to set up my own website and personal email address, but didn’t have the vanity to use my own name as the URL, so I decided to use Bailey’s name. He was with me long before my wife, children, and public office, and he was an beloved member of our family. And, before Gracie came along, Bailey was our child, and he went everywhere with us — on planes, trains, and automobiles — and was a frequent guest at Ritz-Carltons and other pet-friendly hotels. He had traveled many places, from the Poconos to the Bahamas. It was when visiting the former that he was bit by a tic and contracted lyme disease. It took us a while to figure it out (and an unbelievable sum in vet bills), but after some pretty big scares, he stablized, defied the odds, and lived happily and comfortable for several more years. But, his illness caught up with him. After nearly 9 years of life, Bailey was put to rest in 2007 due to kidney failure, a result of his lyme disease. His vets still maintain that he is the only dog that they know of that had survived for so long with the illness, about 5 years. So now you know the story behind baileydog.com. I’ve now transitioned from that address to starboard.us as my personal web/email domain, but the old baileydog.com email addresses still work for those that use them. |
